President's Message
Thank you everybody.
Thank you for your trust and confidence in me. I will work very hard not to disappoint you and will represent you with enthusiasm.
We will have a victorious 2025 with President Trump in the White House, with your prayers, your encouragement, your skills, your experience, your ideas, your dedication, and your wisdom. We need everybody to roll up their sleeves and help us, just like you have done in the past. If you have never been involved before, this would be a good time to start.
A little bit about me.
I am Armenian by birth, American by choice.
I have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren.
I was the club President for 2 hear starting January 2010. I enjoyed serving the club and the County federation.
I had never been interested in politics until the Clintons got elected. The Clintons made me a Republican, and the Obamas reignited the passion for conservatism in me.
I am a Republican because I don‘t need the government to save me. I already have a Savior.
I am a Republican because I do want to keep most of the money I make.
I am a Republican because when I say I am a Christian I will not be labeled as a bigot.
I am a Republican because when I quote the Bible and say, ―Blessed is the Nation whose God is the LORD‖, I will not be labeled anything but as having faith in my God.
I am a Republican because I believe in my country‘s victory instead of pleasing the leaders of other countries.
I am a Republican because I believe in the bravery of our military and not in the rights of terrorists or criminals.
I am Republican because I believe in Sovereignty of America and in securing the borders.
I am Republican because I believe in qualification instead of Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness. Diversity works great at potluck.
I believe in my personal freedom instead of somebody in Washington, D.C. deciding how I should live, how I should work, what I should teach my children, what doctor I should go to, or how much of the money God has given me I should keep.
I am a Republican, because I do not want Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer decide for me what is morally right.
I am a Republican because I believe in America and I love America. That is why I am in America. Many of you did not have a choice to be an American, if you were born here. I chose to be in America, because of what America is.
Looking forward to a victorious 2025! With your help.
Please join the board if you can. We still have some openings. And, if you have not renewed your membership, it is time.
Our goal is to have 150 members. We can do that with your help.

April Meeting
March 22. 2026
April A. Verlato was born and raised in Arcadia. She received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UCLA and a law degree from Southwestern School of Law. She is an attorney practicing in the areas of personal injury and estate planning since 2000. Her office is in Downtown Arcadia. She followed in her father's footsteps who opened his practice in the same office she is now in back in 1971.
She served on Arcadia City Council from April 2016 to December 2024. She was the first female council member to be elected in 12 years and the first female mayor in 16 years. She was Mayor April 2019-May 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic. This gave her an insider's view of the behind the scenes making of the shut-down, the machinations of government overreach and the struggle between the health and safety of the general public and protecting people's livelihoods.
Her second term as Mayor was September 2023 - July 2024. While on Council she served as the delegate to the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and was elected to serve on its Executive Committee as Vice President from May 2021 until November 2024. Through her experience serving on the Homelessness Committee and San Gabriel Valley Regional Housing Trust Fund with the SGVCOG, April gained invaluable knowledge about the inner workings of LAHSA, its efficacy and how things could work better to address homelessness.
She was a candidate for Congress in 2024 against Congresswoman Judy Chu for CD 28 and is running again in 2026.
